The Brand

The image is identity

The designer Daniele Alessandrini founded his eponymous menswear brand in Bologna in 1983, with the goal of creating a high-quality total look, focusing on knitwear, outerwear, and shirting as its commercial strengths.

After several years of operating with a fast-fashion business model, the label transitioned to a seasonal approach, allowing more time to develop extensive and meticulously curated collections of approximately 450-500 pieces. This strategic shift, strongly desired and led by the designer-founder himself, enabled the brand to successfully position itself in the mid-to-high-end market segment.

With over 40 years of experience, Daniele Alessandrini has earned industry recognition for its innovation, the quality of its creations, and its excellent price-quality ratio, as well as for its reliability in deliveries and commitment to continuity.

Market Presence

Currently, Daniele Alessandrini's menswear is available in approximately 500 stores across Italy, positioned in the mid-to-high market segment.

With its new strategic direction, the brand aims to elevate its positioning to the premium market tier by restructuring its wholesale network. In its first season, the goal is to expand to around 800 carefully selected stores in Italy and an equal number abroad, targeting Spain, Portugal, Belgium, the Netherlands, and France—leveraging the presence of brands within the Ambrosio group in these countries.

Beyond Europe, the company also has its sights set on expansion into Asian markets. The primary focus will be on physical distribution to provide greater support to partner stores participating in the brand’s relaunch. Only after solidifying the wholesale channel—through a strategy planned for the first five years—will the brand enter the retail sector with the launch of its first monobrand stores.

Strategic Vision

With the goal of supporting the growth of the brand both in Italy and internationally, starting from SS 2025, Daniele Alessandrini has entrusted the global production and distribution license of his brand to Donato Ambrosio, an entrepreneur with 30 years of experience in the fashion industry.

The Style

Essential rock

In line with the brand’s DNA and stylistic signature, Ambrosio and his team have designed the first collection of the new era of Daniele Alessandrini – consisting of around 250 pieces, including outerwear and accessories – which presents a fashion offering characterized by essential pieces with a touch of rock.

The regular-fit garments are crafted in a variety of patterns and weights, with materials like linen and fresco wool; technical fabrics for t-shirts and travel shirts alternate with Scottish yarn and knitwear. The color palette ranges from earthy tones to pastels, beige, and the black of the ceremonial pieces, crafted in fluid linen fabrics or more classic proposals with satin lapels. The collection is completed with footwear, accessories, and belts designed for the modern, contemporary man.

The winter collection also includes around eighty items under the “Black” label, characterized by a more fashion-forward DNA, featuring modern cuts and details in line with current trends.
